Least Terns nest on our beaches!

There is something special happening on our beaches right now. A flock of Least Terns has selected North Sea Drive as their nesting site for the 2022 season!

The North Fork Audubon Society, the NYSDEC and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service have outlined simple steps to protect these Federally protected birds and bring nests to fledge while maintaining our enjoyment of our community’s beachfront.

Our entire community can play a part in supporting the health of our Least Tern population.
